We are thrilled to look back on the fantastic BDAC NAIDOC Week Family Day that took place on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre. The day was filled with joy, unity, and cultural celebration, bringing the community together for an unforgettable experience. ? The event kicked off at 10:30 am with a heartfelt Welcome to Country and inspiring speeches, setting the tone for the day ahead. The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with anticipation for the exciting lineup of activities. ? The Indigenous Hip Hop Dancers took the stage at 11:20 am, mesmerizing the audience with their impressive moves and energy. Their performance set the tone for a day of cultural delights. ?️ From 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, everyone enjoyed a delicious BBQ and bush tucker lunch, savoring the flavors and sharing heartwarming conversations with family and friends. ? The didge performance at 1:45 pm added a unique and enchanting touch to the day. The sounds of the didgeridoo echoed through the venue, creating an unforgettable ambiance. ? As the clock struck 2:30 pm, we bid farewell to a day filled with laughter, togetherness, and cherished memories. The event concluded on a high note, leaving the community excited for future celebrations. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants, performers, and volunteers who made this event a resounding success.
