Enjoy free live music at the Golden Dragon Museum's Yi Yuan Gardens this January! Featuring local talent and stunning performances, Music in the Gardens is a summer tradition not to miss.
This January, Sunday afternoons were brought to life with the enchanting sounds of Music in the Gardens 2025. Held in the serene Yi Yuan Chinese Gardens at the Golden Dragon Museum, this free series of live concerts celebrated Bendigo’s rich musical talent, offering a space for the community to come together, relax, and connect.
Each Sunday featured a unique artist:
- On 12 January, Ryan McPartlane captivated with his acoustic charm, blending heartfelt originals and dynamic covers for a soothing start to the month.
- The 19 January spotlight shone on the Mariah McCarthy Trio, whose folk-inspired storytelling brought audiences through themes of love, loss, and hope, with harmonies that left everyone spellbound.
- Closing out on 26 January, Distilled Strings delivered a masterful performance, fusing classical and contemporary hits, from Mozart to Lady Gaga, delighting audiences with their bold arrangements and rich soundscapes.
The stunning setting of the Yi Yuan Gardens added an extra layer of magic, offering a tranquil escape in the heart of Bendigo. Supported by the Ulumbarra Foundation, this event series was all about bringing the community together through music, memories, and connection.
