The More You Know
Golden Mile Raceday 2025 brought the thunder of hooves and a whole lot of heart to the Bendigo Racecourse on Saturday, 12 April. As Victoria’s only stand-alone raceday on that date, the Golden Mile isn’t just about racing — it’s a celebration of country spirit, fashion, music, and local connection.
From the moment gates opened at 10:30am, racegoers were treated to warm sunshine and world-class hospitality. Thousands made their way to White Hills to enjoy sweeping views of the track, great food and beverages, and a sea of stylish outfits in the annual Fashions on the Field. With categories like Best Dressed Local and Inspired by Frida, the competition was as fierce as the finish line.
“It’s city-quality racing with a country heart, and it shows in every smile we captured,” one of our photographers shared.
Entertainment stretched beyond the races, with a Mexican Fiesta on the Lawn, plenty of shaded areas to beat the 30-degree heat, and a live music lineup that had toes tapping trackside. From punters placing bets to families enjoying the festive scene, there was something for everyone at the Golden Mile Raceday.
This signature event, proudly backed by sponsors like bet365, TAC, Hygain, and Apiam, showed once again why Bendigo holds a premier spot in the Country Racing calendar. If you missed it this year, you’ll want to bookmark the next one now—because this is more than just a raceday. It’s a Bendigo tradition.
