The More You Know

The 2024 Run for Dad Bendigo fun run brought families together at Bendigo Racecourse to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. The event, filled with superhero outfits, was a hit, drawing participants from across the region.

On Father’s Day 2024, families from Bendigo and beyond laced up their running shoes and donned superhero outfits for the annual Run for Dad Bendigo. Held at the scenic Bendigo Racecourse, the event offered two race options: an 8km run and a 3.75km walk/run, making it suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels.

The event, organised by Athletics Bendigo and the Rotary Clubs in the Goldfields region, successfully raised funds and awareness for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. With a fun, family-friendly atmosphere, runners and walkers dressed as their favourite superheroes, symbolising their support for the heroes fighting prostate cancer.

After crossing the finish line, participants were treated to a free breakfast provided by local Rotary clubs, which added to the sense of community and camaraderie. The event sponsors, including The Athlete’s Foot Bendigo, Sunergy Solar, and Macdonalds Nursery, helped ensure that all proceeds from entry fees were donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Don’t miss out next year – a morning of fun, fitness, and family support for a great cause!
