The Eaglehawk Christmas Carols brought festive cheer to Canterbury Park on December 8. Families and friends gathered for carols, entertainment, and Santa's grand arrival, marking the start of the Christmas season.

The Eaglehawk Christmas Carols in the Park made Canterbury Park the heart of holiday magic on Sunday, December 8. From the moment the BBQ started sizzling at 6 pm, the event radiated festive spirit. Families spread out picnic rugs and enjoyed Phoenix FM’s holiday tunes, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

At 7 pm, the Eaglehawk Brass Band kicked off the carols with a spectacular fanfare. The Mayor’s warm welcome and an Acknowledgement of Country set a meaningful and inclusive tone. Performances by local schools and community groups followed, delivering a mix of Christmas classics and creative renditions that had the crowd singing along.

“Christmas is about coming together as a community,” said one attendee, “and this event captures that perfectly!”

The night reached its crescendo at 8:30 pm when Santa made his grand entrance, spreading joy and delight among the youngest attendees. With free entry and generous support from sponsors like Fosterville Gold Mine, the City of Greater Bendigo, and UFS, the event truly embodied the spirit of giving.
