The Australian Sheep & Wool Show, held at the Prince of Wales Showground in Bendigo from July 19th to 21st, 2024, proved to be an unforgettable event, drawing record crowds and showcasing the very best in sheep breeding, wool production, and rural lifestyle. Attendees from across the country gathered to witness over 3,000 sheep from five states competing for top honors. The show is renowned as the largest event of its kind in the world, making it a must-visit for breeders, farmers, and wool enthusiasts.
The show featured a diverse range of activities and competitions, from the highly anticipated Merino Ram Sale to the vibrant Australian Wool Fashion Parades. Spectators were treated to the impressive Central Victorian Yard Dog Championships, where skilled dogs and their handlers demonstrated their prowess in sheep herding. “Watching these dogs in action is truly remarkable; their intelligence and training are on full display,” remarked a visitor.
