Kick off the festive season with Bendigo’s Christmas Tree Light Up in Rosalind Park! Celebrate with roving Christmas characters, carols, and dazzling lights as the countdown to Christmas begins.
The festive season officially began with the annual Christmas Tree Light Up in Rosalind Park on Friday, November 29, 2024. This much-loved tradition brought families and friends together to celebrate the start of the holidays in a joyful community atmosphere.
Starting at 6:30 PM, attendees were treated to lively entertainment, including roving Christmas characters and children’s nature play activities by WildPlay Co. The highlight of the evening was a heartfelt performance of Christmas carols by the talented Tara Muscatello.
Mayor Cr Andrea Metcalf officially lit the tree at 8:45 PM, marking the countdown to Christmas. “The traditional lighting of the tree brings our community together and sparks the festive spirit in Bendigo,” said Cr Metcalf.
The dazzling tree lights can be admired every night throughout December, alongside the beautifully decorated Bendigo letters—a perfect backdrop for festive photos.
This event is part of the Summer in the Parks program, featuring a wide range of free or low-cost activities in Bendigo’s parks and city spaces during December, January, and February. Don’t miss out on the holiday magic this season!
