Bendigo On The Hop 2024 marked a decade of craft beer celebration, offering locals and visitors a moveable feast of beers from 18 top breweries across 10 Bendigo venues. Held on August 31, this event attracted beer aficionados who sampled exclusive festival brews and enjoyed live entertainment, food pairings, and even mini-circuses.
Hosted by Bendigo Beer, the festival’s layout encouraged patrons to explore local venues like The Cambrian and Handle Bar while discovering unique beer offerings. Highlights included rare one-off brews like Mountain Goat’s “Mount’n Sheep” and Bridge Road’s “Monte Carlo Crumble.” The event’s variety of craft beers showcased the creativity of both local and national brewers.
As always, Bendigo On The Hop made it clear that Bendigo is becoming a craft beer hub. Live music, acoustic performances, and fun Hop Classes added layers of entertainment, while the mini-circus provided a playful break between tastings. The festival culminated in an after-party at Piano Bar, where the city’s craft beer culture truly shined.
