The 2024 Bendigo Comedy Festival has kicked off with a hilarious Opening Night Gala at The Engine Room in Bendigo on October 16. The festival, now in its sixth year, promises a week of comedy gold, featuring local and national talent. The Gala, headlined by the award-winning comedian Geraldine Hickey, brought the house down with her sharp wit and relatable humor. Joining her were Matt Stewart, known for his work on the “Do Go On” podcast, and Urvi Majumdar, from “Guy Mont Spelling Bee,” along with standout acts like Jim Hallawell and Ben Richardson.
